CDT International AB is a Swedish joint-stock company based in Kalmar, in the
southern part of Sweden. Founded in 1991, it has the objective to do consulting,
participate in the design and preparation of development projects and undertake
trading activities (international business). The activities of the group CDT International
are oriented towards countries in West Africa; the group has branch offices in
Ghana and in Burkina Faso. The turnover of the groups operations in West
Africa has moved from 1,3 million Swedish crowns in 1991 to 45 million in 1999.
The major part of this turnover arises from the sales of food products. However,
the group has diversified its activities by investing in audio visual production
in Burkina Faso. The founder and President of CDT International is Mr Richard
S. Traoré. The two other shareholders of the mother company are Mr Åke
Håkansson, Export Manager, and Mrs Eva Traoré Dahlberg.
